Do you guarantee my bond will be returned?
No. No cleaner and no platform can guarantee bond return. Bond return is determined by your landlord or agent and, if disputed, by SACAT under the Residential Tenancies Act 1995 (SA). A thorough clean removes the most common reason agents claim on a bond, which gives you the best chance of getting your full bond back. Some cleaners in our network offer their own re-clean guarantees (free return visit if the agent flags the clean) - that arrangement is between you and the cleaner.
What is the legal cleaning standard in SA?
Section 69(3) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1995 (SA) requires a tenant to leave the premises in a reasonable state of cleanliness, having regard to fair wear and tear. The standard is 'reasonably clean', not 'spotless'. Our RTA guide goes through what that means room by room.
How long does the bond refund process take?
Where the claim is not disputed, Consumer and Business Services (CBS) processes the bond refund through Residential Bonds Online in about 5 working days. If there is a dispute, the other party has 14 days to respond; CBS attempts conciliation; if conciliation fails, the matter may be referred to SACAT.
